I have had the opportunity to spend more time with God in the past few weeks in lots of different ways. I am finding these tools make it easy for me to turn to Him and His word first and gives me such a sweet peace. Here are a few of the tools I am using in my life right now.
End of January I saw a FB post about Scripture writing. I was intrigued and then decided I didn't have time for it. However, after a few days my heart kept saying- yes and so I decided to committ one month to seeing how this fit into my life. I found that this increased time in His word was so special, just a quiet conversation with God, Him showing me more about love ( the theme for Feb) and in fact at about week three I actually said- I am getting bored writing the same thing each day about love- I get it! Of course, God showed me that very day that I didn't get it and I was called to love someone in a situation that I was hurt by their actions. Thanks God for demonstrating Love to me. I write the scripture in black ink and then use a colored gel pen, to write notes or observations. I also chose some of the verses and created Bible Journaling pages too.
Lent Calendar- using "40 Things to Give up for Lent"
My friend Pat Meier created this beautiful lent calendar and I decided to try it this year. I have seem many people do this and wanted to experience it for myself. I find that this adds to my focus on Jesus sacrifice in a more personal way, as I draw and doodle the habits, thoughts or beliefs that I want to improve in my life. Like this tool a lot!
His Kingdom Come- Take Me Deeper- DNA
I love this series! We have given us more time to go deeper by sharing a devotion every other week and a creative technique on the opposite weeks. We have been so blessed with our devotion writers and our creatives who volunteered to write and share techniques with us. I create a tag for my I am statements and journal about the devotions in my TMD Planner/Journal.
TMD Planner/Journal and Thursday Bible Study
This has been such a great tool for me! I can keep my days planned, note my God hugs, and keep track of those I am praying for. On the back I update myself weekly on my Logos365 journey, and then transcribe my bible study. I lead a bible study in my home every Thursday and that has been an answer to prayer! The ladies are my neighbors and good friends and it is lovely to go deeper into God's word with them One of my friends Pam- asks very deep questions that I then get the opportunity to do research for myself and the group!
Sunday afternoon Faithart
After church on Sundays, I have open studio for 4-5 of my creative friends and we discuss our message, and church and then create faithart together! You can see alot of their work in my videos, and in posted pictures. I am a blessed woman with all of these sisters in Christ!
