Peace is my word so I spent more time doing "research" about peace, the definitions, thoughts, verses and how I can live it.
I am loving my new planner/journal!! It is easy to work in, simple to add pages of all sizes and to create faithart and then punch it and insert it into my planner.
On Saturday Susan Hiles, one of the HKC Bible Journaling leaders, created a periscope/and YouTube video for the first Bible Journaling challenge of 2016. It is about how to implement your word into your faithart. If you didn't see it I highly recommend the video. Inspiring and educational! Here is the link for the challenge and video.
One of the prompts for January for LOGOS365 is to take a picture of yourself and create a stake in the ground as you begin your LOGOS365 journey.
Taking a picture, dating it and adding one of my bible verses starts my "peace"journey.
I created a Tagxedo word cloud too. Here is the link. It works better if you use MS Internet Explorer. Have your words ready to type into the program, and then you can print it on any kind of paper (did printed mine on the free digital download from Pearl Brown) or save it to your computer. This is on the back of the LOGOS365 picture page.
Next I made tags about my word. And the ARC system is wonderful to make faithart and then punch it and insert it! (see my post about the ARC system found at Staples).
Next Susan challenged us to make cards with our words. I used some of my extra prints and created some cards for myself. Since my word is peace, I decided to create small cards I can hand to someone who I want to share peace with!
And finally I choose one of my bible verses about peace and created a BJ page!
I choose Colossians 3:15. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful."
My technique was using a water stencil in varying shades of blues/purple in the background. Then I stamped PEACE and used prismacolors and a blending pen. I wanted to evoke a soft peaceful feeling!
And finally in John 14:28 I simply added a flipout with washi tape, as I didn't want to cover the entire page, as there are other verses that I might want to do later.
What a wonderful day I spent yesterday creating faithart and going deeper in His word!
