After seeing so many freebies on the internet about "one little word", "my one word"," unleashing your inner creativity" and others I felt prompted by God to share His version of seeking a word to live by.
Grab a cup of coffee and get comfortable for a 17 min video.
I have lived logos365 for over 8 years. I have created a new student worksheet and a returning worksheet and 12 months of prompts to practice this discipline. Logos 365 is all about slowing down, seeking Him ( prayer, reading the bible, small groups, church sermons, etc), listening to Him, and alinging ourselves to His prompting. If you use the free worksheets God will speak to you and puts thoughts and ideas on your heart. Write them down! You will find that when you answer all the questions, you will be able to see the words and how they fit together to create one thought/action/heartwork as your logos365.
This video is different for me. I usually make a technique video of my hands and you don't get to see me speak. I spent a lot of time in prayer before I created this video so that I could share my heart and speak words that were from Him and would bring Him glory and honor. I hope that this will give you a good understanding of what a word to focus on and how to allow that word to change you and allow God to take you and mold you so that your fruit of the spirit will be more evident in your life.
2008 – the Light- This was my first experience with living one word for a year. I made a canvas and it has the following words on it that helped me live the light. Shine, celebrate, amazing, happy for, Be, rejoice, teach, perfect, live in , believe, treasure, explore, journey, cherish, forever and always, freedom, faith, fun, love, adventure, pure, discover, share, extraordinary, exceptional, big decision, God.
2009 Trust- my first experience really relying on God. Words on my canvas: today, persistence, precious, mighty, dare, nurture, simple, forever, always, journey, a work in progress, simplify, progress, the greatest love of all, determination, grow, experience, time, always, be brave, patience.
2010- Abide- This was about resting in him, surrendering my will to His. Words from my canvas: treasure, live, today is the day, joy, obedience, with God all things are possible, cast all my cares on Him, patience, sustain, endure, home, togetherness, destiny, embrace, journey, do not be anxious, togetherness, remain, refuge.
2011 – Free- Psalm 118:5 “In my distress I prayed to the Lord, and the Lord answered me and set me free. It became being free from anxiety and fear."
2012- Steadfast- finish strong Psalm 57:7 “ My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.” I made music to him though my praying in color, my art journals and my time with Him.
