December 20 is the 4th Sunday of Advent and this week is all about Peace. I love what Christina Nelson wrote for the devotional!
"Peace on earth. Inner peace. World peace. The peace of God which passeth all understanding.
From the prophecy of Isaiah 9, through Psalms to Revelation, the bible references God’s peace. The peace so sought by man. Paul (Ephesians 2:13-18) references the prophecy of the One called the Prince of Peace in the birth and death of Jesus.
But HOW is Jesus the Prince of Peace? What does it mean? It is difficult to believe that there are those who actually struggle with the interpretation. But I believe that Jesus himself told us everything we need to know about living in and being one with God’s peace."
Peace and being a peacemaker has been on my mind and in my life for the past few months. So this devotion really resonated with me. Becoming a peacemaker is really hard~ Asking and seeking forgiveness even when I don't "feel" like it. Acting as though all if good even when it isn't. Not being a doormat, but choosing peace in all circumstances. Then I can feel the peace that passes all understanding.
We all want peace on earth, and especially in my little part of the world. I stamped and embossed the world stamp and the words with white embossing powder. Cut silver stars and attached.
