The trinity is the basis of my faith. Devotions this week helped me refocus on the reason for my faith and who God is and who I am. Family is God's plan for us and the trinity explains His word and how it governs our lives.
I am trying to keep a monthly technique theme going and how perfect that this month is my white- or tone on tone technique. I find that I really have to stretch myself when I create my faithart when I limit myself to one technique. I enjoy exploring the devotion and how my technique can be connected to the devotion. Perfect example is this week. The trinity is so clear, simple and yet complex. How to create a journaling page and express that truth is my challenge!
I love how this turned out and I loved the process. When I can focus on the truth of Gods word, it becomes clear to me to keep my journaling simple. Using a ruler I drew a triangle, to represent the trinity. Then drew 3 concentric circles crossing over each other to show how the trinity overlaps in form not in power. I used glitter glue to fill in the circles, and puffy paint to outline the design. On the left side, I used a mask and white paint to create a tone on tone pattern. I then copied Stacy's quote from the weekly devotion in the design and then used puffy paint to outline it. The clarity and simplicity are expressed in my page.
My walk with God right now is about focusing on Him, and allowing Him to lead me, and control my choices and my heart. I am trusting Him with all the little daily decisions including my heart, mind and emotions!
