Week 9- prompt was to collage- recycle, reuse. I chose to get out the old family photos and use those as a collage and to recycle. Also added a flap with things I want to remember.
The spread is important to me because it features my Aunt Ruth. She was 10 when I was born ( I was the first grandchild in our family). I was born in California, after my mother, grandmother and her sister moved to LA to start a new life in 1951. My dad drove all the way across the county and met them when they got off the train. They got married and I was born. Ruth ( 10 years old) , her younger brother John ( 5 years old )and my grandmother came across country to visit us at my birth. Ruth and John have always been like my older brother and sister, and Ruth led me to Christ in my 40's. I love her, she is a role model for me and I am blessed that she is my aunt, sister in Christ and friend.
I attached a hand of forgiveness as my family was very dysfunctional and I forgive them because they did the best they could. I still treasure the pictures and my good memories.
I love the DLP group, lots of inspiration, keeps me in my journal daily as well as creating each week. This will be a great legacy of my faithlife when it is done! Loving 2014 so far. God is good and is very present in my life.
