Prompt for this week - cut up a magazine
My one word for 2014 is beloved. I have been focusing on understanding, living and feeling that I am God's beloved. I know in my head that I am His beloved, but most of my life haven't felt it, or lived like it. Part of my focus is to know the word of God and when he calls me His beloved. For week 5 I doodled about 10 bible verses related to being His beloved, so this week I decided to memorize and focus on them one at a time.
"Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in Him for He shields him all day long and the one the Lord loves rests between His shoulders."
I love that picture of me resting on God's shoulders. That is so visually reassuring and wonderful, I decided to find a picture that might support that idea from the internet since I don't have any magazines. I was able to find this great picture from Raffaello Sanzio, young man carrying an old on his shoulder, c1514 Albertina, Vienna and incorporated it via collage into my page for this week.
My journaling page was a study of Psalm 19, and the overall theme was "He is Here". God is here, he is everywhere and I should worship Him all the time.
I also used my gelli papers this week and collaged, and added paint to incorporate them in to my book. Makes me happy to look at the journaling and the ideas and colors.
