I decided in December that this sounded right up my alley for a 2014 project.
Here was the description of this FB group
"One part planner plus one part art journal and one part weekly challenge equals an amazing year of organization, inspiration and community. Join us for the Documented Life Project."
So I joined Roben Marie 's group on FB The Documented Life Project . It is a project you can start anytime, so if you are interested, ask to join the group. There are now more than 4000 people in the group! Must have struck a chord with a lot of people!
I decided not to us the small Moleskein book that the leaders were using when it arrived and it was so small. I envisioned it larger, and was disappointed in it for my proposed journal. So I shopped my stash and decided on the Dylusions Journal that I already had. I wanted to use a larger book so that I could do my faithart journaling, keep track of my prayer life, and add various notes of my life for this year. So far I am really enjoying this process.
I had to add calendar pages to my journal, as the pages are all blank. So I found this free site and customized my calendar pages to fit my journal ( 8 1/2 x 11). Decided to use my scrapbook stash and printed the 52 pages on 52 different papers that I love and was saving ( for what???). Turned out beautiful. Then I attached the pages via washi tape in multiple designs. So here is what my book looks like with the tip ins ( that is what you call it when you add a page with tape).
As you can see I haven't done my cover yet. I did use the leftover papers to make my monthly tabs and covered them with contact paper so that they won't be destroyed by the end of the year.
Stay tuned for pictures of my actual Journal pages!
