My spiritual life began July 1992 when I became a born again Christian. God became my savior that day, and the Lord of my life in 2000. I followed his leading in 2004 and went on my first mission trip to Ukraine and did a VBS for 10 days working at 3 different orphanages. Christmas of 2004, my son Zach and I sponsored a 10 year old girl named Vera to come to America for the holidays. Little did we know where God was taking us! After much prayer, and wise counsel, I moved forward and applied for adoption of Vera and her 2 younger sisters. Then God really demonstrated his power in my life- the country closed their adoption office for a few months during political upheaval, the money to do the adoption vanished due to a unwanted job change and my son returned from Iraq. But God was faithful and provided the funds, a new job working from home and the time to go to Ukraine for 5 weeks to complete the adoption. My sons and I have been blessed beyond measure and our girls have made my family complete.
